Lazy diagnosis not a part
Jill Stowell
I recently sat down with parents, high school students who managed to get in trouble at school. When we completed an extensive testing process, we discovered that it has serious learning difficulties.
His parents told me regret that the evils in the past, they were punished for their son and take things away because they were told that his poor school performance due to “laziness and behavioral problems.”
Have you ever seen one of these children, who seem lazy?
Maybe they still have their heads on the table. Others just seem to never start. Or maybe they just seem tired all the time, moving slowly, slowly, barely able to provide all the energy until it is time for recess, PE or lunch. When asked about the duties, they say they have not had the time or does not have the good book, or maybe even say, they do not seem to do .
When teachers went “over and over”, have done all they can do, and the student does not seem to try, lazy is often the only obvious conclusion to the left .
No matter how many teachers are frustrated,
What do students know that if
they could do the job, they would.
is constantly at work really embarrassing, not a student wants to be embarrassed.
So what is the perfect lazy children?
Difficulty with learning difficulties, it is generally in the background in one or more areas of ineffective treatment or thinking skills, which are expected to interrupt their academic development.
Believe it or not, the basis for the development of learning begins in the womb.
There is a continuum of developmental disabilities, which depends on the skill / ability on the basis of a group that is developing before it. If a disturbance of this development at any level, it can affect school performance.
often interrupted the development of skills is very subtle.
Jessica (really a student, but not his real name) is D and F in high school.
It can read, write, write and do math, but it does not pay attention in class, do poorly on tests, and does not get his job.
There are no major problems, but it has many small challenges
* His memory is a little weak
* His attention is also a bit weak so it is easily distracted from any position
* It is not a good follow-up strategies, or his attention to the organization of homework and projects
It’s not a huge handicap. It “happens.” And it seems pretty normal.
In this part of the tragedy,
It is quite sure of his parents and teachers are right to say he’s lazy and motivated because he simply can not pay attention and get it to work.
treatment of low background and leadership skills to be able to keep students can succeed together works as expected. Instead, they struggle to stay, and are incompatible with the duties and grades the test results.
mostly themselves do not even know that there is nothing wrong. It is the only way they always have been.
Jessica, and his students, like to get ignored because they seem to be reluctant to try hard enough to succeed.
more tragic? Parents, teachers and other professionals have been (and continues) to deal with these students that if nothing is mandatory, but the effort and if they really need, can not do anything.
This is good news –
These conditions can be repaired, fixed, repaired, so they are no longer on the road performance!
Section 2, we identify skills gaps / weaknesses and how they exert their school, work and life.
